COMMERCIAL PILOT – COURSE CONTENTS

The Commercial Pilot exam contains 100 questions. These questions are chosen from over 900 questions in the exam database. You are allowed 2 1/2 hours to complete the exam.

Immediately following the course, FAA testing is preferred on Monday morning, but no later than Wednesday morning. This allows time to take a few online practice exams. This will help to guarantee that you pass the exam on your first attempt!

This course is designed to prepare the student pilot to pass the FAA Commercial Knowledge Test in preparation for his or her Commercial Pilot Certificate. The course covers all aeronautical knowledge as outlined in 14 CFR Part 61.105b.

COURSE MATERIALS:

Any COMMERCIAL Pilot Written exam book or e-book is acceptable as a text to accompany this course. Examples include: Gleim, Jeppesen, ASA et al. (Approximate cost is under $30. Call the Flight Depot at Cincinnati’s Lunken Airport to get the FOT, friend of Tom discount.)

Your passing score (70%) on the Commercial Pilot Written Test is good for twenty-four (24) calendar-months from the day achieved.

NOTE: Due to the very similar nature of the VFR material tested, the CommercialPilot Written Course and the Commercial Pilot written course are taught simultaneously. Commercial students, please plan to stay later 1 hour each day durning the weekend to go over the additional aircraft performance charts, problems and additional commercial specific material.

If you want to pass the FAA written exam and doubt your abilities I highly recommend the 2 day course offered by Angela Bartley. The attention was very personal and responsive. The setting at Bowman Field at Central American Airways was a nice touch, during the breaks you could watch the planes from Cessna Citations to Mooney Mites! In just two days I honed my skills and passed the Private Pilot written exam.
